Your Emails: Forged Promissory Note

I made a telephone inquiry regarding consolidating default student loans to relieve the $600 a month payments I was being recinded from my paycheck.

American Education Serivces (AES) just contacted my employer stating I am in default of a consolidated loan I took out with them. I just received the original promissory note which does not have my signature, or a date and was completed by the person I made the inquiry with. Who can I contact regarding this?

Forged Promissory Note?

Has anyone reading this ever had a problem with a loan company such as ACS, CFS Suntech/CHASE, Sallie Mae etc. actually forging a promissory note for a loan/consolidaton? If someone working for a loan company has forged your name on a promissory note (either hardcopy or online "e-signature"), or if you have any information on such forgery practices, please email me @

STUDENT LOANS ARE AN $85 BILLION A YEAR INDUSTRY, AND THE ACCOMPANYING PRACTICES THAT UNSUSPECTING STUDENTS FALL VICTIM TO ARE THE $85 BILLION ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM. IT'S TIME TO EXPOSE THE BEAST.

In addition to the well publicized scandal that has hit the news recently regarding lenders paying kickbacks to schools for preference, the National Student Loan Database has been used to obtain private information on students who have been bombarded with misleading marketing materials and tactics from various predatory lenders.

Some lenders have gone so far as to mislead students into believing that they are or are in some way affiliated with the Department of Education. Some have consolidated student's loans without their knowlede. The list of atrocities goes on to include illegal and abusive collections tactics.

IT IS UP TO US TO BAND TOGETHER, EDUCATE OURSELVES AND FIGHT BACK AGAINST THESE INJUSTICES.

As someone who has endured a hellish experience dealing with fraudulent and misleading loan companies, I have created what I could not find for myself - a haven for people living with student loan nightmares. A place where students and parents can gather and share information.
