Your Emails: Forged Promissory Note

I made a telephone inquiry regarding consolidating default student loans to relieve the $600 a month payments I was being recinded from my paycheck.

American Education Serivces (AES) just contacted my employer stating I am in default of a consolidated loan I took out with them. I just received the original promissory note which does not have my signature, or a date and was completed by the person I made the inquiry with. Who can I contact regarding this?

Thank you.

At least you received a copy of the promissory note. A collection agency placed a deliquency on my credit report which I traced back to AES/National Collegiate Trust. All of the customer service reps I spoke with confirmed the remaining balance on my loan due 2016. However, I have been requesting a copy of the note, payments since March--nearly 3 months and nothing. Now I have a lawyer from this agency coming after me. My credit score has suffered and the lawyer is harassing me. I am going to file a complaint with the department of education and possibly seek out litigation myself. If anyone knows of a good lawyer to represent me please let me know. I am in California.

kandi, if you do find a lawyer, let us know. I think many of us could use the name of a good student loan lawyer.

My dear people,
it is 2011 and time for us to take this fight to another level. The Pennsylvania higher education commission has been receiving complaints about this company for years and have not done anything. The BBB is not gonna do anything for us to get the justice we deserve.
contact me if you are ready to join a class action lawsuit against A.E.S we are moving forward this month
Sincerely

I am very disgusted with this company they are saying I signed a promissory note in 2007 regarding loans that they bought from Sallie Mae now they are harassing and threathening to garnish my wages and so on. I have never signed a promissory note or given permission for them to consolidate any loans for me. I think this company is a freaking joke to students who are trying to get a degree and they are holding loans hostage to avoid that. I wish someone ( a lawyer to stand up for us and all these complaints) to find a resolve for this. I think it is unfair to all of us who are struggling to make a living and attend college with all of the issues that are going on today. I am going to figure out a way to get this issue handled if it is the last thing I do.

Hello all I read your complaints and would suggest that you all contact an attorney online ($40,00)(they will guide you on how to file a civil suite against this company. They do not have any promissory note. Your sued should stated that you are requesting this note as proof of debt. Don't let these MF--- scare you fight back. National Collegiate Student is generically refers to a series of individual Delaware business trusts registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission under the respective trust title as according to the date of issue. The trusts are the product of the securitization of pools of education loans made under education loan programs by program lenders. Your loans were sold just like the homeowners loans on the stock market. Your loan have multiply stockholders. No Promissory Note exist.

I'm so glad to hear all of your stories. I to took out student loans in 05 and 06 about 20,000. AES now says that I owe over 55,000 dollars. They are saying that I took out four loans but I can only find paperwork for two.
Last month they said my forbearance ran out and now I have to pay over 400 per month. I'm an RN and while I do have a good job who can afford that?
This month I made a payment for half of my balance due and they started calling me and my cosigner, harassing my cosigner and threatening her saying that she had to make a payment. She asked for a name and number so she could have me call back and he wouldnt give her any information just wanted her bank account information.
I cant believe that it is ok to treat people this way. Something needs to be done.

This company inational collegiate trust s a scam. They claim I took out a 4,000 in 2006 and now owe over 13,000. That is ridiculous. Especially since I didn't sign for any private loans only federal. They are not on the list of my student loans given to me by my grad school. I am very mad and feel I am being taken advantage of.

I am in the same boat as all of you. I just got off the phone with them and they are saying i owe them 81,000 and I only took out 20,000 for school in 2007. They want me to pay $574 a month that's over half one of my paychecks. These people are crazy to demand so much money and they also keep calling and threatening me that they will take further action. I do not appreciate this treatment and I need to find something that I can so about this.
